Greetings from a Fox

Greetings Everyone,

Rusty Fox at work

As a part of the University project requested I need to write myself a own blog which is the one you are reading right now, be honest I hate writing something especially like take care of a blog on the internet.......... But anyway lets do some Self introduction for making a good start, which is about the owner - The Rusty Fox.

My name which people usually call me is Mr. Fox or Rusty Fox, as I don't like to use my real name for work, the reason is sometime a name of a person will show too much personality (such as
nationality and age) and I do not want that, simply like this.

OK, But why Fox? The reason I call myself a fox is because the way I take pictures, which is like a fox hunting the foods in the street. the main area I am working at the moment (or for my lifetime?) is Street Photography or Cityscape Photography which  I prefer to called.

Of course we all know the Street Photography is a big subject and there are so many different type of street photographer in the world such as Bruce Gilden's type or Daido Moriyama's type. In the animals term they are just like a Lion and a Stray Dog taking pictures in the street. And I love to call myself a Fox. (44 is just my lucky number, so you can ignore it.)

And Rusty? Reason I call myself rusty is I will never keep my pictures feel clean and tidy, the simplest way to explain this is I don't like ''beautiful'' pictures. All my pictures is in high contrast, high grain, dark, gloomy, dirty etc. And this is my style, my ''Rusty'' style. For me, if I see a beautiful scape or thing I won't pick up my camera and take pictures because I though its better to keep a beautiful image in your memory rater than on a film.

Untitled in Market.

I want to do something different with my camera, I want to do something that can reflex my mind with my camera, to take pictures of my mind. Sometime I really think a camera is a very good tool to discover yourself, what I meant is to discover the deepest mind in your brain. As Daido Moriyama said "Whatever how hard you try to hide, You can just never hide your true self in your pictures". I know it is funny but to be honest, discovering myself is one of the reason I love photography.

And I think that is for my boring self introduction. Well, I will try my best to keep this blog alive but again, writing a blog is not my thing and please don't forget to check my Flickr (which is my "True" blog.) at HERE. The best way to know about me is read my pictures rather than my words(may be because my English is shit......ha).

Wooden Black and White - 09

This picture is the one of my series that I am working at the moment, I call this Project : Wooden Black and White for now,
basically I am just trying to show different shape of different plants in different ways.

For the next time I will talk about something for my pictures and also my working style such as about the camera/films I usually use and also the projects which I am working at the moment.

see you next time.
